This small area is just 1 mile from Nuneaton town centre now absorbed by the town. 

St James 

The village was called Watitune in the Domesday Book of 1086.  The land was held by the Count of Meulan and Hereward held it from him.  He also held it before 1066 and was a free man.
The church was destroyed by fire in the 18th century and was rebuilt in 1881.
