WILNECOTE AND CASTLE LIBERTY


LOCATION:
Two miles north of Tamworth 

CHURCH:
Holy Trinity 

HISTORY:
The village was called Wilmundecote in the Domesday Book of 1086. 
Wilnecote was a township within the parish of Tamworth, though regarded as being independent from 1770. 
Although Warwickshire, the parish registers for Wilnecote are held at Stafford Record Office.  For all periods prior to 1837, you are recommended to search Tamworth St Editha also.
