PAILTON


LOCATION:
The village lies approximately one mile south-east of Monks Kirby.

CHURCH:
St Denis

HISTORY:
The village derives its name from the Saxon meaning Paegel’s farm.  The name has changed many times over the years.
Pailton is a hamlet within the ancient parish of Monks Kirby.  St Denis or St Denys is a chapel-of-ease to Monks Kirby. 
Norman in origin, the church was renovated in 1982.
