    Military Medal Citation
During the enemy attacks on our positions EAST of GAUCHE WOOD throughout the day, 19th September 1918, this NCO formed one of a carrying party -  three times he passed through heavy shell and M. G (Machine Gun) barrage taking bombs and SAA to the companies in the line. The constant supply of munitions which he kept up was largley instrumental in enabling the Battalion to hold and consolidate the captured positions. Throughout the whole of the recent operations he has done very useful work.
Major Shaw, Comdg 6th Dorset Regt.
Taken from Regimental Diary - our thanks for Ben Mayne for finding and supplying it.
