:  21st March 1919, aged 39 following his discharge on 3rd July 1917  - if the date of death is correct, then John Allen died in Birmingham; his birth was registered during the September Q 1874 and would therefore have been 43 years old.

  • Son of John Allen & Elizabeth [nee MELLOR = 1873].  Mother died September Q 1880, aged 26, registered at Lichfield.
  • Husband to Ann Sarah Allen [nee DEWIS = 1903 Tamworth]; children John William (1906), Joseph Herbert (1908), Isabella (1911), May Lilian (1912) Eric Willoughby (1915),
